Amboseli is a KWS premium park. The current fee is USD 90 for a non-resident adult and USD 45 for a non-resident child. African citizen rates are USD 50 and USD 25. A normal vehicle with fewer than six seats is listed at KES 600 per day, with higher bands for larger vehicles. KWS defines a daily fee as single access valid for no more than twenty-four hours. Lodge position, exit, re-entry and arrival time can therefore change the calculation.

A safari Land Cruiser involves driver-guide time, fuel, maintenance, permits, insurance and empty positioning as well as the visible kilometres.
