Meet your driver-guide early at your Nairobi hotel, residence or agreed airport pickup point. Travel through the Great Rift Valley towards Narok, with a viewpoint stop when conditions allow.
Continue to your selected lodge or camp. Lunch and check-in timings depend on arrival. Head into the reserve for an afternoon game drive, then return for dinner and your first night in the Mara.
2A full day in the Masai MaraGame viewing · Picnic lunch · Same camp
After breakfast, set out with a picnic lunch. Your guide chooses the route around wildlife activity, road conditions and your interests, leaving time for photography and unhurried sightings.
Return to the same property for dinner. If a break at camp matters to you, discuss separate morning and afternoon drives before booking. A balloon flight or other optional activity changes the day’s timings.
3Masai Mara to Lake NakuruRoad transfer · Nakuru game viewing
After breakfast, leave the Mara and drive towards Lake Nakuru. This is a transfer day, rather than another full day in the Mara; a final Mara drive is only included if explicitly agreed with the entry arrangements.
Continue to the named Nakuru lodge and explore the park in the afternoon when arrival time permits. Your guide follows current wildlife conditions. Dinner and your overnight stay are in the Nakuru area.

After breakfast, take a short Nakuru game drive within the agreed park arrangements, then begin the return journey to Nairobi.
Your hotel or airport drop-off is agreed before departure. If you have an onward flight, share the details before booking so the final-day schedule can be checked.

Look for the Mara's lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife. Your route follows conditions on the day. Individual sightings, migration herds and river crossings are never guaranteed.

Is this a private or shared safari?
This itinerary is private. Your party has its own 4×4 Land Cruiser and driver-guide for the road transfers and the game drives agreed in your quotation. Shared balloon activities, if requested, are separate.
How much game-viewing time do we have?
The route protects one full day in the Mara, then adds a Nakuru afternoon when arrival permits and a short final-morning drive. The Mara-to-Nakuru journey is a transfer day.
Which hotels and rooms are included?
We confirm a named property and room category in your written quotation. The gallery shows possible properties and example rooms, not a guarantee that every pictured room is available at the starting price.
How is the final price calculated?
From US$2,080 per person sharing, as an indicative starting point. Travel dates, number of travellers, property and room arrangements determine your final price. A single room or upgraded room category may cost more.
Can children join this safari?
Tell us each child's age, your preferred room arrangement and any needs before quoting. We will check the chosen property's family-room options and the suitability or age restrictions of optional activities. We do not assume that children receive a particular discount.
Can you pick us up or drop us at the airport?
An agreed Nairobi airport pickup or drop-off can be arranged. Share your flight details before booking so we can assess timings. A hotel night before the safari or after it may be advisable depending on the flight.
Can we choose a balloon safari or shorter drives?
Yes, request these preferences when enquiring. A balloon safari is quoted separately and is subject to availability and operating conditions. Shorter morning and afternoon drives can be discussed instead of the full-day picnic arrangement.
Will we see the migration or a river crossing?
Neither can be guaranteed. Wildlife movements and daily conditions determine sightings. Tell us your priorities and dates so the route and accommodation can be discussed realistically, including whether an extra night would give you more time.
What should we pack?
Bring comfortable layers, sun protection, your camera, necessary personal items and manageable luggage for the vehicle. See our packing guide. If you request a fly-in version, confirm the airline's baggage allowance separately.
Can dietary or accessibility needs be accommodated?
Describe what you need before accepting a quote. We will check the specific room, paths, vehicle access and meal arrangements with the property. We will not assume all safari camps or vehicles meet the same requirements.
What happens after I request a quote?
We use your dates, group details and preferences to prepare the proposed itinerary and price. Review the accommodation, inclusions, payment terms and cancellation conditions before confirming. Sending an enquiry is not a booking.
